"SAND-HOPPERS" by Cynthia Harnett, illustrated by George Vernon Stokes, a revised edition 1947 of this excellent large approx. 50 page hardback dog story book, (approx. 12" x 9.5") complete with all the superb large full page colour illustrations plus many other black & white illustrations, in good condition, the covers are a little worn around the edges and one of the black & white illustrations has been very neatly coloured in with watercolour.
This is one in a series of Vernon Stokes colour illustrated dog books which feature young children and their dogs and adventures, in this case the dog mostly featured is a Beagle dog and there are some beautiful large colour illustrations of this breed, together with Old English Sheepdog and Bulldog.
