Electrotypes: Obverse & Reverse Uniface pieces Copying a Ephesos Ionia Didrachm of 245-202 BC, SNG.Cop.270-275var, Head of Artemis right / Forepart stag right, head left. In the 1850's, The British Museum hired seal maker Robert Ready, whom along with his sons, had perfected the Electrotype process. These were produced in two individual parts: Obverse and a Reverse, as seen in pictures above, these were taped together inside by previous owner (which easily can be removed), each piece inked numbered.
