Electrotypes: Obverse & Reverse Uniface pieces Copying a Ionia Phokaia El Hekte Of  600-450 BC. Seal Swimming right (obverse) and incuse Quadriportite Sqaure (reverse). In the 1850's, The British Museum hired seal maker Robert Ready, whom along with his sons, had perfected the Electrotype process. These were produced in two individual parts: Obverse and a Reverse, as seen in pictures above, each piece inked numbered 59.
