Beagle Pups Earthenware Figurine & Box Gift Gallery NM Japan Pets in a Basket

Another family item recently removed from a long and gentle storage. The Beagle Pups 'Pets in a Basket' Earthenware Figurine was made in Japan for K Mart. It sold as a selection from the Gift Gallery 'Real Life Series'. The basket with pups figurine was never displayed. It has hardly ever been removed from the original box. It is super clean and still 'looks new'. Vibrant colors. Both posing beagle pups are cute, life-like and have piercing soulful eyes. The basket section of the piece is very detailed, nicely resembling a real straw basket. The original K Mart retail sticker is still attached under the piece, as pictured above. From base to the handle top it measures just under 4 1/2 inches. The piece is about 3 inches wide. The pups in a basket display extremely well.
The original Box remains in good condition. It shows some corner and edge wear. It has some light wrinkles/creases and some old sticker blemishes, also seen above. An original K Mart retail sticker is also seen on the box bottom.
The earthenware pups, along with their 'crate', are 'out of the storage pound' and looking for a new home.
